LET THE ANTHEM BEGIN!

Hi Everybody.

Today is a big day in HANSONland. After many months of quiet rumblings, we are officially sharing the name of the new album ANTHEM, and the plans for a world tour and the release of the first single Get The Girl Back.

We are really excited that we are able to announce the first couple legs of the ANTHEM WORLD TOUR, at the same time as we are sharing the details of the album packages, plus the release of the Get The Girl Back singles, all of it starting on April 9th!!

For the many international fans outside of North and South America, have no fear!! We are planning to share plans for the rest of the world tour, in conjunction with the HANSON DAY celebration in May along with the remaining release dates for the album.

The new record has a more guitar driven anthemic sound which mixes well with the old school flavor of Get The Girl Back. We are really excited about all the ways we will be sharing this new album/the music vid and single with you this year (like the early album listening party during the HANSON DAY event in May), and all the coming tour dates, and so much more.

HANSON ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM, ANTHEM, TO BE RELEASED JUNE 18TH;

WORLD TOUR, ALBUM PRESALE, SINGLE RELEASE ON APRIL 9TH;

APRIL 1, 2013 – NEW YORK – Pop-Rock trio HANSON are excited to announce the release of their new album and world tour. Titled ANTHEM, the new record will be released on June 18th. The North & South American leg of the ANTHEM WORLD TOUR begins July 18th in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and ends November 20th in Charlotte, NC. Tour dates are below.

On April 9th the band will release their debut single, ‘Get The Girl Back’, along with the presale of the highly anticipated album, and the onsale of the North and South American leg of their World Tour including deluxe album and ticket bundles. Pre-orders for the single and the music video are available on iTunes starting today. The rest of the band’s international tour schedule and album release dates are set to be announced in May.

The infectious new single ‘Get The Girl Back’, which features the band’s signature soulful pop-rock sound, will be introduced to fans through the buzzworthy music video featuring Kat Dennings (Two Broke Girls) and Nikki Reed (Twilight/Thirteen). The video is set to premiere online on VH1.com on April 4th, and on-air on the VH1 Top 20 Countdown on April 6th.  HANSON will perform the song on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on April 9th.

The video is a narrative tale which features the band performing in a packed club backed by an old-school brass section that accentuates the retro aesthetic of the song. ANTHEM was produced and written by the band and was mixed by Tom Lord-Alge. It features a more guitar-driven sound, pulling from a series of harder hitting rock and R&B influences from James Brown to early Michael Jackson, and AC/DC.

2013 marks the 21st anniversary of HANSON. They have been nominated for multiple Grammys, released five studio albums, spawning a string of hit singles, including their 1997 #1 smash MMMbop and have sold over 16 million albums worldwide.

Hanson Prep New Single, Album, Music Video & World Tour: See The List Of Dates

Hanson é MMMBack (desculpe), anunciando hoje (1º de abril) seus grandes planos para 2013: para o 21º aniversário do trio, eles estão lançando seu nono álbum, Anthem, em 18 de junho e eles irão chegar à estrada para uma turnê mundial. Mês seguinte. Isso não é tudo: single single "Get the Girl Back" está recebendo um video musical com Kat Dennings (2 Broke Girls) e Nikki Reed (Twilight), e vai estrear quinta-feira (!) No VH1.com. Com base na obra de arte única acima mencionada e no fato de que o vídeo apresentará "uma seção de latão da velha escola", parece que estão canalizando a merda de terno e gravata de Justin Timberlake. (Nota de lado: qualquer músico que usa um smoking este ano será comparado ao JT).
