LET THE ANTHEM BEGIN!

Hi Everybody.

Today is a big day in HANSONland. After many months of quiet rumblings, we are officially sharing the name of the new album ANTHEM, and the plans for a world tour and the release of the first single Get The Girl Back.

We are really excited that we are able to announce the first couple legs of the ANTHEM WORLD TOUR, at the same time as we are sharing the details of the album packages, plus the release of the Get The Girl Back singles, all of it starting on April 9th!!

For the many international fans outside of North and South America, have no fear!! We are planning to share plans for the rest of the world tour, in conjunction with the HANSON DAY celebration in May along with the remaining release dates for the album.

If you have not looked at it already, checkout the new HANSON app and the ENTIRE SITE (Hanson.net), it has a whole a new look so check it out!!

The new record has a more guitar driven anthemic sound which mixes well with the old school flavor of Get The Girl Back. We are really excited about all the ways we will be sharing this new album/the music vid and single with you this year (like the early album listening party during the HANSON DAY event in May), and all the coming tour dates, and so much more.

HANSON ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM, ANTHEM, TO BE RELEASED JUNE 18TH;

WORLD TOUR, ALBUM PRESALE, SINGLE RELEASE ON APRIL 9TH;

VIDEO TO DEBUT ON VH1 ON APRIL 6TH;

APRIL 1, 2013 – NEW YORK – Pop-Rock trio HANSON are excited to announce the release of their new album and world tour. Titled ANTHEM, the new record will be released on June 18th. The North & South American leg of the ANTHEM WORLD TOUR begins July 18th in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and ends November 20th in Charlotte, NC. Tour dates are below.

On April 9th the band will release their debut single, ‘Get The Girl Back’, along with the presale of the highly anticipated album, and the onsale of the North and South American leg of their World Tour including deluxe album and ticket bundles. Pre-orders for the single and the music video are available on iTunes starting today. The rest of the band’s international tour schedule and album release dates are set to be announced in May.

The infectious new single ‘Get The Girl Back’, which features the band’s signature soulful pop-rock sound, will be introduced to fans through the buzzworthy music video featuring Kat Dennings (Two Broke Girls) and Nikki Reed (Twilight/Thirteen). The video is set to premiere online on VH1.com on April 4th, and on-air on the VH1 Top 20 Countdown on April 6th.  HANSON will perform the song on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on April 9th.

The video is a narrative tale which features the band performing in a packed club backed by an old-school brass section that accentuates the retro aesthetic of the song. ANTHEM was produced and written by the band and was mixed by Tom Lord-Alge. It features a more guitar-driven sound, pulling from a series of harder hitting rock and R&B influences from James Brown to early Michael Jackson, and AC/DC.

2013 marks the 21st anniversary of HANSON. They have been nominated for multiple Grammys, released five studio albums, spawning a string of hit singles, including their 1997 #1 smash MMMbop and have sold over 16 million albums worldwide.

Hanson Prep New Single, Album, Music Video & World Tour: See The List Of Dates

Hanson é MMMBack (desculpe), anunciando hoje (1º de abril) seus grandes planos para 2013: para o 21º aniversário do trio, eles estão lançando seu nono álbum, Anthem, em 18 de junho e eles irão chegar à estrada para uma turnê mundial. Mês seguinte. Isso não é tudo: single single "Get the Girl Back" está recebendo um video musical com Kat Dennings (2 Broke Girls) e Nikki Reed (Twilight), e vai estrear quinta-feira (!) No VH1.com. Com base na obra de arte única acima mencionada e no fato de que o vídeo apresentará "uma seção de latão da velha escola", parece que estão canalizando a merda de terno e gravata de Justin Timberlake. One show will feature the new album in its entirety which will be a blast. One will be focused on special Fan Club songs over the years, highlighting songs we rarely perform. and the lastly one show will be open for everybody that is attending to vote on the setlist. This Week

The album is DONE! After all the work that has been put into it, it feels really good to have the album finished and ready for the world to hear. The album will not be released until June, but as of today we are planning a Listening Party for the album as a part of HANSON Day. Any members who are joining us in Tulsa will be able to hear the new album top to tail Saturday MAY 4th. In addition to the Listening Party, we will also be doing a Walk in the afternoon Saturday. It has been too long since HANSON have hosted a walk. I know we are all ready to take off our shoes and feel the hot pavement between our toes. I think this will be our best Members Only Event to date.

Other than HANSON day we are planning and planning for the release of the New album. All the details will be released April 1st, so look out for them then. We will be releasing the details for the first leg of the World Tour, the new album will go on pre-sale, the first single will be coming out and the new music video will premiere. We will start by traveling around the US visiting radio stations as well as our plans for Members Only Events all around the world. T – 6 Days and counting.

This Week

We are finished with the recording on the new album, now it is just a matter of putting the finishing touches on as we Mix the new album for the next few weeks and then master. Each step in the process of making an album becomes slightly more refined. Writing, Pre-Production, Basic Tracking, Over Dubs, Mixing, Mastering… all in the pursuit of that perfect sound. We have been planning and planning, and now we are just a few weeks away from getting to share all the details about Touring, the Album and Single release. April is going to be a big month so get ready!

Year one of HANSON�s Back To The Island destination concert event was incredible, and what a great way to start the year! Now it�s official – HANSON and Island Gigs are inviting you to make plans to kick off 2014 with them and a worldwide gathering of music fans for the second event in beautiful Jamaica – Back To The Island 2014!!!

During Back To The Island 2013, it was incredible to see people from all corners of the world come together to share in music, food, fun and sunshine, against the backdrop of beautiful Jamaica. As well as HANSON sharing some rare musical moments during the three concerts, there was a meet & greet and photos with everyone attending, and the band took part in some fun Jamaican Island activities. 2014�s event is a chance both for many people to join the band for a second year, and for some new faces to make their way Back To The Island.

The 5-day event is an all-inclusive island experience (drinks, food and a wide offering of activities, as well as an exclusive private beach), at the beautiful Breezes Grand Resort, reserved for the Back To The Island Concert Event.

Throughout the week of fun and sun, there will be entertainment each night, featuring three performances from the band in different configurations from a stripped down acoustic set, to full electric sets, as well as special activities that the band will take part in. In addition the event will also feature two other special performances from artist friends that the band has invited to join the festivities. 2013�s event featured great music from good friends Robert Schwartzman and Charlie Mars (details of special guests for 2014 will be announced at a later date).

How Nikki Reed Snagged a Role in Hanson’s New Video

Isso conta como uma ameaça tripla? Nikki Reed, estrela de Twilight, agora pode adicionar video vixen ao seu currículo. Ela marcou um lugar no novo vídeo Hanson para a música "Get the Girl Back". Sim, esses meninos MMMBop ainda estão fazendo música.

Ela e sua amiga Kat Dennings (2 Broke Girls), que também estão no vídeo, foram fãs há anos, mas não conheciam a obsessão do outro. "Nós não sabíamos que éramos fãs de Hanson até que nós dois assinamos o vídeo. Foi uma obsessão estranha e secreta que nós dois tínhamos e nos mantivemos ", disse Reed.

"Eu escrevi [Hanson] o correio do fã. Foi assim que começou o meu relacionamento com eles. Quero dizer, eu os amo. Eu escrevi-lhes fanmail na esperança de que eles me escrevessem de volta, e Kat fez o mesmo ", explicou. "Foi assim que esses relacionamentos floresceram. E eles nos ligaram para nós dois ... e então nós dois nos apresentamos para fazer esse vídeo. Não poderia ser mais engraçado. Só porque vejo Kat todas as semanas. Como eu não sabia disso sobre ela? "

O marido de Reed, Paul McDonald, também é um grande fã e teve um cameo no vídeo. Ela já colaborou com ele antes de uma música para a trilha sonora Breaking Dawn Part 2.

This Week

Six days left before we finish mixing, and then all that is left is one day of mastering the album. Every day we start off by reviewing what we did the night before, making any last changes and then moving on to the next track on our list. Things have been going well for the last week, and it looks like we are going to stay on track and just finish on time. While we are not yet finished mixing, all of our minds are starting to think about the next and final step, mastering. During mastering we will have to pick the final order for the album, and the final track listing deciding what will and will not make the new album. It is a hard decision, and one which every member of the band has there own perspective, but like always we will battle through until we come to a consensus.

In addition to the new album getting ever closer to its completion we are also charging head long into the other projects that go with the new album. Starting next month we will be announcing the first leg of the World Tour, the release date for the single, album and album packages. We will be announcing the name of the album and name of the documentary about the recording of the album. We are really excited to have everything lined up together for maybe the first time ever after twenty years as a band.
